BENGALURU : Priced at an introductory ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 customers, the electric motorcycle is now open for pre-bookings at ₹999, with deliveries scheduled to begin in October 2025.
The X47 is powered by Ultraviolette’s proprietary UV HyperSense system, which combines 6th-generation 77GHz long-range radar with integrated cameras. Capable of monitoring up to 200 meters and adapting to lean angles of 20 degrees, the system offers four key functions: blind-spot monitoring, lane change assistance, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings. Complementing this is a dual-camera dashcam suite with 1080p HDR recording, real-time secondary display, and crash-proof emergency video lock.
Built on the proven F77 platform, the X47 features a 10.3kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 323 km. Its motor delivers 40hp and 610Nm of torque at the rear wheel, sprinting from 0–100 kmph in 8.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 145 kmph. Safety is reinforced with 10th-generation Bosch dual-channel ABS, four traction control levels, and nine regenerative braking settings.
Other innovations include the world’s most power-dense onboard 1.6kW air-cooled charger, advanced touring accessories, and multiple variants—Laser, Airstrike, Shadow, and a special Desert Wing edition. After the introductory period, prices will rise to ₹2.74 lakh, with global deliveries slated for 2026.
The launch comes amid a booming Indian EV two-wheeler market, which crossed 657,000 unit sales in H1 2025, up 9.9% despite subsidy cuts. While Bosch and KTM have previously introduced radar-assisted systems, Ultraviolette claims the X47 is the first globally to integrate radar and cameras as standard equipment.
Founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, Ultraviolette has attracted backing from TVS Motor, Qualcomm Ventures, and EXOR’s Lingotto, and is scaling its annual production capacity from 30,000 to 100,000 units. The company is eyeing 10,000 X47 sales this fiscal year.
