Hotel revenues in Oman jump 22% as tourism gains strong momentum

Revenues of classified hotels (three- to five-star) in Oman recorded a strong growth of 22.2 per cent by the end of December 2025, reaching approximately RO 297.3 million.

MUSCAT : Hotel occupancy rates also saw a notable improvement, rising to 56.7 per cent by the end of December 2025, up from 49.9 per cent during the corresponding period last year, according to official statistics.

Data on tourism performance showed that the total number of guests staying in classified hotels increased by 10.8 per cent to reach 2,376,955 guests by the end of December 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.

Figures released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that the number of Omani guests rose by 6.6 per cent to reach 857,481 guests, while visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council countries increased by 7.2 per cent to 212,798 guests. In contrast, the number of guests from other Arab countries declined slightly by 1.6 per cent to 101,377 guests.

International arrivals continued to post strong growth across several regions. Guests from Asia increased by 11 per cent to reach 345,526, while arrivals from Africa rose by 20.2 per cent to 15,321 guests. European visitors recorded a significant growth of 22.3 per cent to reach 659,571 guests, while arrivals from the Americas increased by 28.6 per cent to 79,420 guests. The number of guests from Oceania also rose by 25.2 per cent to reach 41,386 by the end of December 2025.

The number of guests in classified hotels rose by 10.8%, driven by increased arrivals from Europe, Asia, and the Americas, while Omani and GCC visitors also showed growth.
