Oman engages IAEA Chief in Geneva as Iran–US nuclear talks resume

His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, meeting His Excellency Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in Geneva.

Geneva: The meeting was held within the framework of consultation and exchange of views on technical matters related to the Iranian nuclear file, as well as the new proposals currently under discussion between the Iranian and American sides.

During the talks, the Omani Foreign Minister underscored the importance of the professional and technical role played by the IAEA in addressing nuclear-related issues. He stressed the need to ensure transparency, credibility, and sound governance in all procedures connected to the file, particularly at a time when diplomatic efforts are gaining renewed momentum.

The discussions come at a critical juncture, coinciding with the launch of a fresh round of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Oman has historically played a constructive role in facilitating dialogue and promoting diplomatic solutions in regional and international matters.
