DOHA : According to Reuters, Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan are expected to arrive in Doha today. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to follow with a visit on Thursday.

The visits come just days after Israeli forces launched a deadly attack in the Qatari capital, targeting senior Hamas officials even as a U.S.-proposed ceasefire for Gaza was under discussion. The strike has drawn sharp criticism from across the world, with many nations warning that it risks derailing fragile peace efforts.

Qatar, which has played a central role in mediating ceasefire talks between Israel, Hamas, and international partners, now finds itself at the heart of a tense diplomatic standoff.
