MUMBAI : The results signal a resounding endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development-focused politics, even as the opposition, particularly the Congress and RJD, suffers major setbacks.
The BJP hailed the sweeping mandate as a “vote for stability and progress,” noting that the alliance was on track to record its highest-ever tally in the state with an exceptional strike rate. Party leaders credited the strong Modi–Nitish partnership for the overwhelming public support.
“People have once again expressed their trust in Prime Minister Modi’s development-focussed politics,” BJP spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal said, adding that voters “want to ensure their participation in this journey of development.”
As trends placed the NDA comfortably ahead, reactions poured in across party lines. BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia took a direct swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, blaming his leadership for the party’s decline.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said people have voted for development and good governance, rising above caste and community.
