ANKARA : Turkey confirmed on Wednesday that NATO has stationed another Patriot air defence system at Incirlik Air Base, located near the city of Adana. The move comes after a series of missile interceptions in the region, underscoring growing security concerns tied to the escalating conflict involving Iran.
According to a Turkish Defense Ministry official, the newly deployed system adds to the existing Spanish Patriot battery already operational at the base. The reinforcement is aimed at enhancing Turkey’s air defence capabilities and safeguarding critical infrastructure amid heightened geopolitical instability.
