MUMBAI : India secured the prestigious title after a commanding performance against New Zealand in the final, successfully defending their championship and making history in the process. With this victory, India became the first team in the history of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to retain the title.

The win also marked another major milestone for Indian cricket, as the team became the first to lift the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy three times, further strengthening their legacy as one of the most successful sides in the shortest format of the game.

Following the historic achievement, the BCCI announced a cash reward of ₹131 crore to honour the players, support staff and selectors for their remarkable performance throughout the tournament.
