BENGALURU : The addition of the two outlets brings Apple’s official retail presence in India to four, following the earlier launches of Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi. Sharing the news on social media platform X, Cook wrote: “Say hello to Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru and Apple Koregaon Park in Pune! We are thrilled to continue to bring the best of Apple to customers across India at these two new stores.”

The announcement comes against the backdrop of ongoing trade negotiations between India and the United States. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar recently stressed that discussions remain “complicated and intricate,” adding that any deal must be “mutually beneficial” before decisions are made.

Trade tensions had previously been underscored by US President Donald Trump, who criticized India’s tariffs and expressed concern over Apple’s growing investment in the country. Trump had urged Cook to expand manufacturing in the US, despite acknowledging India’s potential as a major market.

India has already become a key growth hub for Apple, with sales surging as the company expands both its manufacturing footprint and retail network. Bilateral trade between India and the US, coupled with Apple’s push into the Indian market, is expected to play a significant role in shaping future economic ties between the two nations.
