KOCHI : Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the world’s largest jewellery retailers, has announced a major global expansion drive, with 48 showrooms set to open by December 2025. The rollout includes 27 new outlets and 21 renovated stores, further strengthening the brand’s presence across key international markets.

The expansion will see Malabar deepen its roots in existing markets while entering new territories.

• India will see the biggest growth, with 14 new showrooms and 10 revamps.

• The UAE and USA will each welcome three new outlets, while the UK will add two.

• Australia, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Malaysia will each gain one showroom.

• Significantly, Malabar will also launch its first showroom in New Zealand, extending its reach to 14 countries worldwide.

M.P. Ahammed, Chairman of Malabar Group, said the brand’s rapid expansion reflects its commitment to offering world-class jewellery experiences while upholding ethical business practices.

“Every showroom we open is a step towards our vision of combining scale with responsibility—ensuring transparency, sustainability, and customer trust remain at the heart of our growth,” he said.

Abdul Salam K.P., Vice-Chairman, emphasized that the new outlets are designed to deliver a seamless customer journey, blending digital innovation with personalized service.

Shamlal Ahamed, MD – International Operations, highlighted the brand’s entry into New Zealand as a milestone in Malabar’s journey.

“This expansion underscores our ethos of ‘Make in India; Market to the World’. Our global success is built on Indian craftsmanship and design excellence,” he said.

Malabar’s growth strategy is reinforced by its ‘Malabar Promises’, which guarantee transparent pricing, certified gemstones, lifetime maintenance, and ethical sourcing. The Group also earmarks 5% of net profits from every country for community welfare. This year, it has pledged USD 17 million to initiatives in healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, housing, hunger relief, and environmental sustainability.
