ABU DHABI : The pledges aim to elevate youth skills, expand AI literacy, and strengthen learning outcomes across the UAE and the wider MENA region.

At the two-day summit, hosted by T4 Education, Aldar Education, and the Emirates Foundation, and supported by CIFF, Google, Microsoft, and HP, three major announcements signalled a decisive shift toward future-ready education.

Google confirmed $5.5 million in funding to three non-profit organisations, Injaz Al Arab, Inco, and Chance, to enhance AI literacy, advanced digital skills, and online safety for learners in the UAE and across the MENA region. The initiative is expected to reach 2.3 million youth, teachers, and caregivers by 2028. This builds on Google’s long-term regional commitment, having already trained 3 million people and delivered $25 million in funding through Google.org since 2019.

Microsoft pledged AI skills training for 1 million individuals across the region, reinforcing its broader strategy outlined by a massive $15.2 billion investment in the UAE by 2030. The company highlighted the UAE’s growing role as a global hub for technology and education innovation.

Meanwhile, CIFF announced a $45.5 million investment to keep children in school and improve learning outcomes across the region. The funding underscores CIFF’s mission to ensure accessible, quality education for every child, especially in underserved communities.

Held at Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, the summit drew education leaders, policymakers, and innovators from around the world. Across panel discussions and showcases, experts explored emerging trends in education, the impact of AI on learning, and the future of youth skills development.
