Trivandrum: The Rs.300-crore development is expected to create around 5,000 direct employment opportunities and give a major boost to Kerala’s growing digital economy.

P. K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries, IT & AI, performed the groundbreaking ceremony in the presence of senior government officials, industry leaders and representatives of HiLITE Group.

The project, developed in exclusive collaboration with global design brand YOO and flexible workspace specialist IWG, is being positioned as India’s first YOO-branded IT Park and the first IT project globally under the YOO brand.

Spread across approximately 5.37 lakh sq. ft. on 1.88 acres, YOO Hub Trivandrum will include a basement, ground floor, two dedicated parking floors and 15 premium office floors. The Grade-A development is aimed at attracting multinational companies, Global Capability Centres, established technology firms, research institutions and emerging digital enterprises.

Speaking at the event, Kunhalikutty said the project marked another important milestone in Kerala’s journey as a destination for technology and innovation.

P. Sulaiman, Chairman of HiLITE Group, said the project was designed to build world-class infrastructure that could attract investment, support businesses and generate meaningful employment.

“Through our partnership with YOO and IWG, we are proud to introduce India’s first branded IT Park. This is not just a building; it is an investment in the future of our state,” he said.

Sandip Kumar IAS, CEO of Technopark, said the addition of 5.37 lakh sq. ft. of premium Grade-A IT space comes at a time when market demand for high-quality office infrastructure is at an all-time high.

Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, said Kerala has the talent and human resources needed to become a stronger technology destination, but requires more premium infrastructure that meets the expectations of multinational companies.

Besides its commercial and employment potential, YOO Hub Trivandrum is also being developed with a strong focus on sustainability. The project has received LEED v4.1 BD+C Core and Shell pre-certification at the Platinum level, the highest level of environmental evaluation under the U.S. Green Building Council framework.
