Tehran: Speaking on Thursday, Araghchi said talks with the United States are ongoing through mediators, and emphasized that Tehran is prepared to re-engage once Washington is ready to negotiate “on the basis of mutual respect.” He stressed the importance of safeguarding Iran’s rights and national interests in any future dialogue.

The minister revealed that he had recently spoken by phone with the foreign ministers of three European nations, including Britain and France, to discuss regional and nuclear developments. He also highlighted a meeting held in Doha two days earlier with EU foreign policy chief Kaya Kallas, which he said had provided “a better understanding” of Europe’s position on the matter.

Araghchi noted that progress with the IAEA was within reach, signaling that a new framework could soon be established.
