DOHA : Qatar Railways Company confirmed that both the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks are fully prepared to welcome spectators throughout the tournament period. On match days featuring late kick-offs, service hours for the Metro, Tram, metrolink, and metroexpress will be extended to ensure fans can return home easily after the final whistle.
Park and Ride facilities will continue to support fan mobility, though with adjustments: Education City’s facility will be closed on days with matches at the adjacent stadium, while Lusail QNB’s facility will be unavailable during the entire tournament. Instead, fans will be directed to use the alternative Park and Ride at Qatar University.
To manage the anticipated surge in passenger numbers, Qatar Rail will deploy 6-car trains on the Red Line, with 110 Metro trains operating simultaneously during peak hours. All stations across the network have undergone rigorous readiness checks, and dedicated maintenance teams will be stationed throughout to respond quickly to any operational issues.
Additional wayfinding signage has been installed across key stations connected to tournament venues, and multilingual trained staff will be positioned in stations and onboard trains to guide fans, especially those with disabilities. Stadium-adjacent stations will also host event-specific teams and dedicated ticketing counters to manage the expected high footfall.
The 2025 FIFA Arab Cup will be held across six stadiums: Lusail, Ahmad bin Ali, Al Bayt, Education City, Khalifa International, and Stadium 974. Five of these, Lusail, Education City, Ahmad bin Ali, Khalifa International, and Stadium 974, are all within walking distance of nearby Metro stations. Al Bayt Stadium will be served via a dedicated shuttle bus from Lusail QNB Station.
Meanwhile, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025 will hold its final three matches, The Derby of the Americas, the Challenger Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup Final, at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium on December 10, 13, and 17.
Lusail Tram services will also see special arrangements:
The Orange Line will operate only between Legtaifiya and Al Wessil.
The Pink Line will run normally, except between Dec. 10–14, when it will operate between Legtaifiya and Tarfat South during the T100 Triathlon race hours.
The Turquoise Line will be suspended due to safety measures around Lusail Stadium and Lusail Boulevard.
To support fans through the busy tournament period, Qatar Rail will operate a 24/7 customer contact centre offering scalability, multilingual support, and rapid response. Passengers can reach the service centre via 105, WhatsApp at 44433105, the mobile app, or Qatar Rail’s official social media channels. Digital screens inside stations and trains will display real-time service updates and stadium directions.
Qatar Rail also urged all customers to plan their trips, arrive early, and follow station staff guidance to avoid congestion. Fans can look forward not just to efficient transport, but also to retail outlets across the network, including F&B, pharmacies, mini-marts, and sporting goods stores.
Doha Metro and Lusail Tram will operate extended services during the Arab Cup 2025, with increased train capacity, adjusted Park and Ride locations, and special tram arrangements. Multilingual staff, real-time updates, and dedicated event teams will help manage large crowds and ensure accessibility for all spectators.
