MUSCAT — Slovakia’s WooW Studio, working with Omani partner Northsys, has secured a contract from Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to develop a digital twin for Sultan Haitham City, the country’s flagship urban development project.

Digital twins are virtual replicas of real-world assets, designed to integrate data and enable simulation, monitoring and predictive planning. The project is expected to support sales, improve design processes and enhance citizen engagement, the companies said.

“This digital twin will provide immersive visualisations of Sultan Haitham City before it is built, giving buyers, investors and planners a clearer view of the development,” said Juraj Krc, CEO of WooW Studio.

WooW Studio has already produced a digital twin of the Sarooj Oasis neighbourhood as part of the city’s masterplan, which was showcased at Muscat’s Comex 2025 exhibition.

Sultan Haitham City, covering 14.8 million square metres, is planned to house 100,000 residents in around 20,000 housing units, with green corridors, sustainable infrastructure and a central park.
